Keep in mind it’s OK to do nothing at all, too.
I've released this multiplayer pong ssh game. The web version worked well, so why not to make it available in the terminal?
give it a try : ssh ssh.antics.gg
Preparing my presentation for this year's NixCon about running a hobby AS with NixOS. Never been to Poland before, so looking forward to this trip in general.
Besides my regular day job, studying for my A2 motorcycle license mainly. I've been in an off period for my computer interests mainly due to the (imho) crappy way things are going forward nowadays, so doing some things that are not computer related.
got my “emacs speak to Dyalog APL” plugin working: https://github.com/vlnn/ride-apl, now testing it for real tasks, documenting for end users etc. I want it to be pretty much Cider for APLers, but of course there are still tons of work.
I'm working on a little Gleam server that implements the podcast syncing server interface that AntennaPod and gPodder use and I think I'll be done in a couple of days or so. Nothing fancy but it's something I can finish and run on my server and be happy about.
After making a Half-Life map for a contest, I went and started to fix things in noclip's GoldSrc renderer so I could have my maps in my own noclip instance (not mobile-friendly).
I'm also looking for a job but there's not much available these days.
I love it!
It's cool how you can turn the camera upside down. I wonder what the player animation for that contortion would be, surely something amusing.
HL1 is fun and old enough to work in the browser, might be onto something here. Also shift is great! Very fast.
Is the train under the map intended to be rendered in the distance or just an easter egg?
I've been using my septum interactive code search tool for 5 years, so I'm going to change the upcoming 0.4 version to a true 1.0. I need to add support to drop path filters, and then remove the hastily adding MCP support which was buggy, and feels out of place. You can always improve a program, but at this point, it will be "done."
It's been a while since I've written Rust, so maybe I'll look at writing a Forth interpreter.
At work: I am trying to improve the quality of engineering practices that I follow. I had a realization over the weekend that I have been not using tools available to me (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) out of a fear of failure, and that I ought to simply push through that and build at least a primitive CI/CD for the software I've written. My work provides ample resources for configuring pipelines and I have a few colleagues who will help me if I need it.
I am going to finish up implementing a couple things and write their tests, then I am going to begin the process of standardizing deployments and documenting it.
At home: Continuing to prepare for our new puppy. I am reading Perfect Puppy in 7 Days by Dr. Sophia Yin. So far it is really solid and practical. I am excited to put this advice into practice.
