Nice to see interest in Power Mac emulation, but a couple questions on the article:

The choice of mac99 tells QEMU to emulate one of these. Another option would be mac99, for G4 emulation.

I'm assuming you meant g3beige in the first sentence. Unfortunately, Gossamer systems wouldn't be ideal to run NetBSD/macppc on due to some firmware glitches. What was wrong with using mac99 for that?

The choice of memory is the most fragile option here! Anything other than exactly 1G or 2G results in installer crashes or, upon installation, kernel panics.

What memory size did you use? No pre-G5 Power Mac supported more than 2GB of RAM, and the installer would definitely not assume that RAM above the 2GB mark would map. Above that location is usually ROM and I/O.
