On Hacking

Playfully doing something difficult, whether useful or not, that is hacking.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I avoid the term hacker altogether in front of non-technical people because of how hollywood hijacked it. I don't want to call myself that because I don't want to explain what I mean by it every time. But inside I felt like being a hacker was finding joy in solving problems and coming up with creative solutions to problems that you don't even know if they were "solvable" in the first place. So I always felt part of the hacker community.
