slidge.im - Gateways from XMPP to Other Networks

Recently I've been basically forced to join a few whatsapp group (network effects basically) and I've done so with slidge.im and its whatsapp gateway on my router. Now I have whatsapp through XMPP and in my XMPP clients on my phone and laptop!

There are several gateways (one per protocol) and I'm only using the whatsapp one. I still had to install the application on Android to create an account and enable the access for slidge.im. The client also needs to connect every 2 weeks or so but that's much better than having it running all the time and having to deal with one more messaging app.
