Embrace the uncertainty

I hope the author is okay with getting medical treatment (like, an operation) with AI in heavy use. Or flying on an airplane with avionics written by an LLM. Oh, that can't happen? I'm not that optimistic.

The article puts nicely into words the tension I feel between grieving the loss of a future where I'm a careful craftsman and the excitement for the opportunity to build more, more boldly.

I am tackling the uncertainty in a manner very similar to the author, as a matter of fact.

If there's one article our there which has captured how I feel about AI and the effect it's had on my day to day work, I think this is it.

I'm not quite as bullish as the author in some respects but generally, I very much agree directionally on this piece. It really makes me want to put my own thoughts as well though, something I plan on doing soon.
