3 hours of battery life seems really low for what this is trying to do.
Hadn't thought of that. Retro handlhelds like the Game Gear were also notorious for poor battery life.
One of my old pipedreams was to come up with a PDA-style PIM for the Commodore 64 (I even have mockup screens made somewhere) and this seems like the perfect form factor. I'm also wondering if the USB input could be hijacked for connectivity. I think this is Evercade EXP hardware under the hood, so I suspect it should indeed be hackable.
