It’s really cool seeing Gleam’s progress because I’ve always wanted to build something w/ BEAM but don’t want to learn Erlang and enjoy type checker too much to return to Ruby-style programming langauge in Elixir.
So, I am waiting for inspiration to strike me with a weekend-coding-sized project that is a good fit for BEAM, but I haven’t come up with anything that I’d actually keep using.
I’m in pretty much the exact same position. One thing I bumped into was The Gleam Chess Tournament (in May, I believe): https://github.com/isaacharrisholt/gleam-chess-tournament
I previously found Battlesnake enjoyable for playing with Common Lisp, so a Gleam chess tournament piqued my interest.
the language server (which is included within the gleam binary) now provides the “find references” feature
This was my #1 most wanted feature, I’m so grateful to Surya for implementing it, he’s amazing!!
