I've always found plan9 and 9front very charming, with 9front's sense of humor reminiscent of the way the web used to be :) This one is no exception
It's a comfy system.

It's not dead, it's just resting ;)
There's something delightfully chaotic about using a ruler to draw a straight line on your drawing tablet, but I can't quite put into words why it would be bad, if it even is. Maybe the natural tiny variations would make it look even better than a Brezenham line.
At least they used their compass on onion paper instead of directly on the tablet surface!
You’ll often end up with at least a little artificial waviness, especially if you draw slowly.
But that mostly just requires awareness to work around. I heartily recommend using physical guides instead of artificial precision!
the compass we had back in school had the option to replace the drawing end with any pen. putting the needle end in a peace of cork wine bottle stopper seems like it should work :^)
I think the artist wants the physical experience of drawing on paper. They would probably enjoy an e-ink drawing table, if it ran 9front.
