what about locality of behaviour ?
Ocaml5's effect system showed me that Events as values (and in general, IO as effects) are probably ready to hit the mainstream. Typed effect systems make writing real-time software easier the inversion of dependency also gets rid of function colouring in an elegant way (at the cost of monomorphisation) and in general, makes Haskell's Idea of Monadic IO easier to use and compose.
