Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I think there is a somewhat deliberate effort to push people to output things that they do not understand. There is an obvious economic case for AI labs too: they need people to depend on their products to start to justify their valuations. Deskilling their users is one way to do so.
Coincidentally, I wrote something similar today (https://hgrsd.nl/blog/simplicity-agency-and-mastery/) that shares a core premise about the joys of learning something truly and mastering it!
I really liked the overall sentiment of this blog post. I am also very tired of seeing all these "look, I built a tool without even understanding what's going on under the hood" kinds of posts everywhere, as if that is something to be proud of.
