Maybe we should stop throwing junior developers under the bus for a change?
I think your analogy falls down because a junior developer will grow in their career, pay taxes, invite you to their birthday, help you become a better mentor, surprise you in bad ways but also astonish you in ways you couldn't ever think about... but, if you only see them as resources you direct to fulfill your whims, then yeah, I guess stick to Claude Code both the junior and you are better without eacht other.
If the comparison with cloud services ends up apt, the grift will go on, but teams that ignore it will end up ahead more often than not (and then a minority of teams will be doing a thing where it actually makes sense to pay the post-hike prices and learn the intricate details of doing the integration-specific things efficiently)
