Programming peaked

I'm not getting any satire from this, am I reading this wrong?
Though these type of rants never resonate with me, because I do think generally-speaking programming languages are in a great spot these days compared to my experience with them when I was trying to learn/practicing programming. I won't dwell too much on this, but there are good reasons why React/Electron/Node/Python/GraphQL and other mainstream stuff got initial traction and it's important to find out and document why.
The way software development is done versus how much influence technology has on our lives, doesn't still feel balanced to me tho. But even in my most pessimistic moments, I think about all the people that try to improve the current OSS ecosystem and improve these huge projects, and saying that it'd already peaked or that it all went wrong, feels like it's too pessimistic.
And also where I feel like I can agree with the blogpost:
. But this doesn’t mean I think it’s a good idea to use it for everything.
I agree! But this is IMO, a culture problem. I bet in 15 years people will be like "Remember how nice language X was! Now Y is the only thing that gets all the attention".
Maybe not satire, but definite sarcasm:
and in true JavaScript style, there’s a central repository which anyone can push anything to. Nowadays it’s mostly used to inject Bitcoin miners or ransomware onto unsuspecting servers, but you might find a useful utility to pad a string if you need it.
