I'm not sure this isn't more complicated than my home setup which has been stationary for about 15 years, but definitely an interesting read.
When I travel with the "big setup" that is one laptop (with mouse) and a bluetooth speaker in addition to the phone. Once I took an external keyboard because I had to work from a hotel room for a couple days. I guess I'm going more in the r/onebag direction :P
TIL r/onebag, thanks for pointing me there, might find out ideas on how to get more onto the minimalist side :-D
I suppose it matters a lot how long one plans to stay away from home, most of the times I left (even this last time) I didn't know for how long I was going to be. By the way, I bring even other objects with me which many might find odd, e.g. a sharp kitchen Japanese knife and a whetstone to hone it, because, well, I like comfort when I cook as well and a good knife does the difference.
Perhaps nothing beside underwear, a few tshirts, and phone+laptop is truly necessary, on the other hand life is not only about necessities!
