These anecdotes are crazy; I can't believe people just copy-paste AI output like this. Whenever I use LLM output in a way where other people can see it, I scrutinize it. And that's not just because I value other's time, it's just because I would be absolutely ashamed if someone called me out on AI-generated BS. Why don't people have such a sense of shame about this?

This reminds me of the period where people had to figure out what to post and what not to post on social media. It seems like, in both instances, these mistakes happend because people grossly underestimate the dangers and pitfalls of the technology. Probably because the benefits of social media where being promoted like crazy at the time, just like there's tons of hype around all the benefits of LLM slop now.

EDIT: Forgot a "not" in the third sentence.
