He may be kidding around, but as the number of discrete compute elements in GPUs grows, the idea of one compute core per pixel really isn't many orders of magnitude off. It's just a matter of time.
The idea of building a system with thousands of cores excites me.
Using each one to drive a pixel is silly. A cool demo for sure, but I wish he used it for something more complex
