It succinctly explains something I've felt for ages but never put words to. I've seen many folks assume negative intent, or laziness (as the author points out), especially during high-stress moments like an outage. But programming is a very intentional activity and staying grounded in the reality of how software is written can help us empathize, foster a blameless environment (super important), and ultimately get to the root cause quicker.
