My first experiences of computing with a GUI were Windows 3.1 systems, and there's something so powerful about the nostalgia of seeing that style. I wouldn't go back, but I love that people do and share their adventures like this.
Mine as well, and I recently had the (unintentional, I thought I was installing a DOS game) pleasure of setting up a Window 3.11 in DosBox while trying to show someone an old game I used to play. At first my muscle memory snapped back to Windows 95 (which I spent the most time with of all the desktop OSs), but getting readjusted took around five minutes. There are some interesting things there, and the whole system feels designed to be used to just do what you need to accomplish without many frills.
