Some Words on WigglyPaint

@Internet_Janitor - I'm so sorry those slop-enjoying grifters have made you feel this way about your creation.

Your art is nice. Don't let those assholes obscure that. As someone who did a lot of work in Hypercard as a young teenager, WigglyPaint was the thing that convinced me that Decker is a nice heir to that thing I liked all those years ago. And it made me want to join one of the Decker jams. I haven't gotten my stuff together in the right month to do that yet, but my ideas file is thick for the next time one of them falls in a month where I have enough free time to join in.

What you're putting into the world is really cool, and I don't think it's hyperbole to say that you're helping to keep a kind of art with us, when it was disappearing. Thanks for what you do. Please don't let the grifters armed with stochastic parrots suck the joy out of it for you. Because you're bringing joy to lots of people with your art.

Reminder to the author: you made the world a better place. Don’t let all the grifters make you forget that!

The good news is that trademark law is, I believe, on your side and can get all the slop sites and apps taken down and redirected to your itchio page; bad news being the amount of time and money all that takes.

Here’s a working link for Decker, for anyone curious like me: https://beyondloom.com/decker/index.html

Those scammers are awful, and it is always the good people that get hurt, but I don't really see how this relates to LLMs. These kinds of ripoffs existed well before the invention of LLMs and, while I don't have any numbers, I don't think they were even less common back then.

I'm so sorry, I never knew HyperCard and I read about it because of Decker. I also can't draw to save my life but I've had some fun playing around with it. Actually, let me try to wiggle some paints :)

Regardless of any LLM involvement or not this is fraud if they are claiming the site is made by you or supporting you. Finding the owners to sue them may be complex but for the .com at least I believe there is a takedown procedure for illegal sites
