Arturo programming language

Maybe I've seen too many languages at this point, but I couldn't figure out from the docs and the front page when I would want to use Arturo in some situations over other languages. I would really like to know what makes Arturo special.
Agreed I really wish new programming languages would start with why, then present the lineage (Rebol, Tcl, Lisp in that case) and then showcase the key features in a compelling examples. This looks quite polished, and the syntax indeed looks clean, but is that enough to use it?
Sometimes I think it just comes down to vibes and preferences. I appreciate the minimal syntax and extensive built-in support here. I've wanted to find a language that has all the "batteries" included with easy cross-platform support, that I can make an attempt to master and just use for everything short of production-level applications.
The examples in README.md seem to be different from the ones on the home-page..
