It's difficult to read "kW" as "kilo-word" instead of "kilo-watt"!
“kilo-“ or “kibi-“?
Should really be KW, since it's not SI. You can call it kibi if you want, but K will always be 1024 for me.
It's interesting that the article says that the Intersil chips support Extended Arithmetic Element (EAE). I have a 6120 board (SBC6120 RBC Edition) running OS/8. Its FORTRAN IV compiler uses EAE for DOUBLE PRECISION, which fails every time for me. Then again, the PiDP-8/I software distribution only fixed a bug in the compiler distribution they were using fairly recently, so maybe my distro is bad.
