XKCD dependency in p5.js

After seeing the source code [1] linked above in the page, I understood that the xkcd panel was generated on the fly.
Oddly satisfying
A much more stable system emerges by grabbing the Nebraska project and propelling it at maximum speed to knock out the two other supports on that level.
The surviving system lacks many of the smaller pieces but keeps the major chunks in place and is built on a much sturdier foundation.
Implementation is left as an exercise for the reader.
