The requirement to add Assisted-by tags to patches created with LLMs will be removed, but maintainers still want to know about how a patch was created.
This just seems like a bad idea? At least before there was a requirement to be pointed at, now it's ??vague asks??
Sounds like a big middle finger to all new contributors, be their contributions be made with AI or not. Unfortunate.
Yeah, it feels very much like the kernel community is cliquey and hard for new contributors, and their approach for dealing with slop is make it even cliquier and hard to contribute to. Considering the kernel's manpower problems, it doesn't strike me as a good thing.
