Maintaining the love for coding in the time of AI

While it's true that a seasoned C or Rust developer who is well versed in DNS or BGP could make a contribution with the assistance of AI and take complete responsibility for their code, sadly that is not our experience.

This is interesting because the "LLMs are just a tool" argument put all the responsibility of using them on the developers, and what that quote seems to say is that most people misuse them either by not having enough experience with the programming language or domain knowledge.

I'm not really a gen AI person, but it feels to me like it translates a bit into "this is why we can't have nice things".

Their LLM Policy sounds reasonable to me.
