More things should be this simple. It says something that a minimal OS can come with a pretty decently usable web server.

I love these minimal servers that come built into the OS. It makes it so easy to setup a webserver.

The only thing I miss in them are more modern auth options, like passkeys or email otp.

I guess we went about this remarkably similarly, even if we picked different OS-es :)

This was an easy upvote for me, I really enjoyed the style of your writing. Informative, but gives the impression that you were more or less learning as you wrote and I think that's one of the best times to write down what you know.

bozohttpd seems interesting, but (and maybe that's just because I haven't given it a proper shot yet), its implicit configuration isn't nearly as appealing to me as OpenBSD's httpd's. I like having my config be in one file, that I can move around and potentially even version control and while I guess you could do that with your rc config, it feels a bit broad in scope.

If you can recommend or suggest even more

For something on the cheap, I've seen https://tierhive.com/ being recommended.
