Thanks for doing this! It's surely a lot of work.

In this formatting, I'm struck by how much of these papers were express replies to Carl Hewitt. It seems like he never really backed down from his insistence that actors, objects, and closures are three wholly distinct concepts, and it is remarkable that these papers contain responses to e.g. "what Hewitt is flaming about"; I imagine that the authors were frustrated with his style of discourse. Hewitt vandalized Wikipedia when he didn't like how he was historically remembered. Previously, on Lobsters, we discussed my final reply to him, yet another attempt at debunking his later papers. It is kind of mind-expanding to think about how Hewitt's main influence on Scheme was to force it to be simple and clear so that Scheme expressions and REPL sessions could serve as complete refutations of his claims.

Many thanks to Roger Turner for doing this work. It makes me want to re-read them all – especially the one on RABBIT.
