I was frustrated too. This was my endgame solution for tilting ergodox enough (that I designed) https://www.printables.com/model/63836-ergodox-extreme-threaded-tent-kit

It's requires a Lego base but is very robust.

I havnt used the others but really like my Kinesis advantage. It sits at my desk so bulk is not a huge issue and I like the curvature which makes all the keys feel natural. Has anyone else used both and can offer a comparison?

The filco majistouch fc660c with Bluetooth adoption is the most wonderful keyboard. I love my topre keys! It seems like everyone's using those cherries these days.

I wish I could use flat, rectangular uniboards, some of them look so cute.

I consider switching to an ortholinear layout occasionally, but replacing work and home keyboards is a big sell. And I've been a generally happy user of the Ultimate Hacking Keyboard (UHK) for ~10 years at this point.

ADB Extended Keyboard II. My wife, an English teacher, uses one with an iMate. Shame about the yellowing, but the keys are still great.

[The Moonlander] has everything the Ergodox EZ offers …

I don’t think that’s true: it’s missing four keys, and the left and right stacks are narrower.

I'm still happy with my Model M. I had to take a tour through the top of my Big Box of 80s Mechanical Keyboards after spilling tea in it (older one without drainage channels), but its back on my desk now.

Though the third interim keyboard I tried, a Zenith ZKB-2, was good enough that the Model M was in parts for a few weeks longer than it really needed to be. Had the Model M not survived, I might have dug out a cleaner ZKB-2 to use instead.
