Very tangentially:
qredshift lets you adjust both gamma and brightness besides temp, while on wayland (i.e. plasma) the brightness setting only seems to be gamma (and nightlight can change temp). Not controlling the actual brightness is rather annoying - but I've found literally no way to do this. :'( Is there a way? :D
while not as out-of-the-box as you might like, it should be possible by listening for /org/kde/KWin/NightLight on the org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties interface and making a custom brightness curve based on the currentTemperature with e.g. qdbus org.kde.Solid.PowerManagement /org/kde/Solid/PowerManagement/Actions/BrightnessControl org.kde.Solid.PowerManagement.Actions.BrightnessControl.setBrightness $NEW_BRIGHTNESS
