Too bad they are working with ModRetro to publish it: https://aftermath.site/war-crime-n64-palmer-luckey-m64-modretro/
This article is failing to communicate effectively, it just had a bunch of non sequitors (hairdo criticism?) followed by a full screen pop up. I think you need to explain your position rather than relying on this link.
The article doesn't really go into detail, but in the opening paragraph it explains that Palmer Luckey (co-founder and face of ModRetro) is also the co-founder of the military contractor Anduril, so the implication is that you shouldn't financially support any of his other projects (like ModRetro) because of that. I think the "fuck off"s in the rest of the article are said with the assumption that the article doesn't need to elaborate on why Anduril is bad and the guy who co-founded it is evil.
It's not the most constructive, but maybe it doesn't have to be. Ultimately if someone believes that financially supporting Luckey is ok, there's not much you could say to change their mind, and same vice versa.
This is the same guy that did a modern rewrite of the PSX game WipEout: https://github.com/phoboslab/wipeout-rewrite
One of these days, I have half a mind to see how far I can get morphing this into a WipEout XL remake (the superior game of the two, IMHO).
