Somewhat related: there are many blogs out there with amazing writing and thoughts but searching doesn’t bring them up. I’ve always found them through referral.
Someone on a thread on lobsters will mention it and I’ll find it. In the early days if lobsters there was a lot of that in the articles themselves too.
PS. I deleted my Twitter and facebook acounts many years ago. In 2016 I think, for obvious reasons and I've never felt the need to find something like that. I lost "touch" with people on facebook but got email addresses from people and try and keep in touch the old fashioned way. It's less often, and some people don't reply any more, but it was higher quality.
FWIW I find that https://marginalia-search.com/ sometimes finds these blogs. More often than DDG or Google, anyway.
There are many aggregators like ooh.directory and blogroll :) also, kagi smallweb is a cool tool to try out.
