Am I the only one that find ‘badges’ more like noise than useful as the shapes/colors grab unecessary attention? The README isn’t called RENDERME, & as such the raw file just points to heaps of .svg references… what value is this adding when I can’t see it? I feel like a definition list is a better element for this info—as well as landing pages being the norm to keep the README more succinct. In the context of many Git forges, the project languages are already displayed as often is the license (making GitLab’s use of badge 100% underrated as an independent unit you would add—separate from the actual README which at a minimum would help).
