After using more LLMs during development in late 2025, this has mirrored my experience when using LLMs for stuff that I am completely inexperienced in. The developer-brain feedback loop for trying to get out a working component vs learning a new concept are very different, and the former easily leads down to dependency instead of mastery. Since this new year, especially after seeing all the similar research on the topic, I will definitely stick to using it more like a search engine than a collaborator, which happens to reflect the "best" group in this paper.
