This post is about six years old now, published in 2019. It’s a great conceptual overview but a lot of demo code links are broken. I used to have this same bad habit of linking to github repository /tree/ paths in my blog posts or github issues instead of a permalink which pins the git commit. I had a vague justification of “oh I don’t want to have to update the post if I fix something in the file or directory” but I got bit so many times by things being moved around in the repo that I now permalink every time.
