It's because building an app went from a $50K project to a weekend with Claude.
Implies the correct tag is/t/vibecoding not /t/ai since this article is not describing any ai in the app but rather how the app creation is allegedly going to work
Money doesn't just buy features. It buys convenience, trust, consistency, legal liability, and support.
It depends on different users, I think most users pay for current features of Apps over others.
AI decrease the cost for maintaining an app as well.
Will ai kill idea generation as a product or service?
I suspect people will pay subscriptions or one time fees for things that are actually good, not annoying, and keep adding useful functionality, especially if there’s a strong collaboration aspect.
I suspect that’s going to benefit established players until they blow customer trust, and the opportunities will often exist as one established player or another enshittifies.
