postmarketOS in 2026-01: monthly blog post reboot

Is anyone here using pmOS as a daily driver?

I used it for a while on a PinePhone and then a OnePlus 6t. I have no need for any apps, so I was fine without waydroid, but I couldn't pick up calls, which was a total dealbreaker. Switched to GrapheneOS, which is fine, but I don't understand Android like I understand Alpine Linux. When I see the talks at Google bugSWATs from the Android guys, so little seems like transferrable knowledge, and it feels pointless to bother wrapping my head around it when it's becoming more and more proprietary.
