A fully local voice assistant setup

I realize there's a difference between the goals of platypush and those of Home Assistant but I couldn't help but notice that they're remarkably similar under the hood. HA has the advantage of active support for many device integrations and applications though hopefully platypush can also reap some of those benefits as HA is FOSS. I run fully local HA in my camper van and it's both useful and fun. Maybe I should give platypush a try to compare them.

I played with a fully local setup of wyoming-faster-whisper for STT and wyoming-piper for TTS on a separate Apple Silicon machine. Combined with wakeword detection by HomeAssistant app on the phone, it works, even in Ukrainian (most of the time, voice choice is very limited). I have issues with the app not knowing when to stop and only sending the complete voice recording for STT. Also, there are delays in processing and adding local Gemma in the loop makes it even slower. Still, it's a miracle to have this working fully locally.
