I'm packing up the last four Alto display replicas for shipping to their new homes at computer museums. That will conclude my last client work and then I'll be well and truly retired! From there on out it'll be all personal work which will, I hope, be amazing.

Getting outside with the family, both for dog walk/exercise and getting all our bikes serviced and ready for the year ahead. Might even break out the fire pit for first fire of the year too.

Also have some new brake calliper pins to fit to the Z4 (although I've lost them in the house somewhere currently).

Finally moving off of GitHub Pages, probably to grebedoc.dev or pgs.sh.

Open to other suggestions! (I looked at SourceHut Pages, Codeberg Pages, and NearlyFreeSpeech.net, as well as just running a cheap VPS.)

1. Mudding my own drywall for real for the first time. I'm more than 2 years into a major renovation of a house I bought. I'm down to one (1) room remaining, and one wall. My preferred drywaller isn't available for a few months, so I'm gonna take a stab at doing it myself. I hate plaster dust, which is why I've paid someone to do it. On this dry bar wall, I've got approximately 12 linear feet of seams to cover (not easy, in my mind), four outside corners and a bunch of inside corners (hard), gaggle of screw holes (easy). With any luck, it'll be ready to paint by Monday.
2. Getting some HTML emitting from an actix-web Rust app I'm building. I've been spending a lot of time reading and experimenting with mostly middleware choices for the last week or so— I'm talking like 3–5 hrs/week tops doing anything with this for the last three weeks. No AI assistant stuff yet; I need to understand this fully since I'm about the only person who's going to see the code and respond when things break.
3. Decommission a homelab switch. I've got a Ubiquiti US-24 that I've used for years. I've got a USW-24 that I've had for almost 2 years, but it's only got two 10 Gbps devices and a couple of other things. I don't have 24 connected devices total! So, I'm gonna kick out the US-24 and save some watts, consolidating to the USW-24 and assessing if I could/should get a USW-24-POE or just a little 8-port POE for my few APs and some POE Raspberry Pis.

  Good luck, mudding drywall is surprisingly tedious and exacting work.

  The Home Renovision YouTube channel has a bunch of excellent videos on how to drywall if you're looking for some educational material. It certainly helped me!

1. Add some more syllabus contents for a Haskell exam.
2. Work on my Haskell renderer learning project:
- I finally understand the transformation matrices involved and the final numbers I'm getting and can create and switch between perspective and ortho projections pretty easily.
- I can parse and render faces of the OBJ format, I want to also support GLTF before moving onto textures
- Alternatively, it would be nice to have a moveable camera/active model viewer so I'm tied between these two options.
