gap: UI text diff

fred is a really cool editor with really impressive performance around full-repository search. I am in the alpha and have tried it a little bit (I'm on Mac and the Mac port is really recent so not quite up to where the Windows version is). The undo history graph is great and much easier to understand and use than any other undo tree implementation I've tried.

I think editors and IDEs are in their infancy. There is so much still to be discovered. Very cool to see more people working on making better tools for themselves and coming up with new ideas for what an editor can be.
