Yeah I was really hoping to have it doing basic messaging this release, but just ran out of time :-/
Is anyone working on a matrix plugin for purple? The only two protocols I use these days are irc and matrix, having a unified interface for them would be epic. I tried hiesenbridge but the experience wasn’t great.
Shameless self plug, but I have IRC and Matrix rooms in a unified interface in any XMPP client through server-side gateways (matridge and biboumi).
There was an old matrix plugin for purple 2 but it's unmaintained as far as I know.
We're planing on a matrix plugin for purple3 but it's going to be while before I get to it unless someone else wants to get started on it.
