I am happy they didn’t do one of my biggest pet peeve: touching the base font-size (such as a plain <p>). Users can (& should) set values in their use agent to their preferred size & websites should respect it. No, I don’t want 12px hard coded as it’s too small for me. No, I don’t want the font size to mysteriously grow bigger on wide viewport as I already have it set at a comfortable size for that too. I see this too often & it massively hurts accessibility.
When I try to push for adhering to standards like respecting Accept-Language in projects at work, it's always shot down with the argument that the user doesn't know how to configure their applications properly so we have to do it for them.
I imagine something similar gets said for font size :/
I chose to submit this because, while I am always on the lookout for frameworks like PicoCSS and MVP, this one caught my eye since it's meant to be a starting point. It seems like a nice place to build from, but I'd love the thoughts of folks with more design knowledge than I possess.
Honestly, the default font-size is too low and it is hard to read. I don't understand why folks go for this sort of size. It is not accessible and readable to me.
