On Reading SRAMs in IR Images, and Establishing Bounds on Trust

I wonder if there is any cost-effective way (for funny definitions of cost-effective, it would need advanced masks, so it would be quite expensive) to manufacture a thing that looks like 22nm node, but includes hidden capabilities actually made at 2nm node. Maybe in fact everything is at 2nm but tries to look like 22nm process.
