[discussion] the BSDs in the AI Age

There are barely any mentions of the ethical issues there :( They discuss copyright as in "are the outputs copyrightable", but nobody mentions the ethical implications of using a tool that can randomly output the work of others, with information about the original author stripped away (e.g.), which for me is the main argument against LLMs. Maybe that risk is acceptable for you, but this conflicts with my own moral values.
NetBSD's/OpenBSD's current stances towards LLMs make them pretty appealing for me (compared to Linux and such), I've been on the lookout for a good refurb laptop deal so I can get a dedicated BSD machine. I hope this thread won't result in NetBSD loosening their AI policy :/
