But non ironically, I think this is exactly what I needed to read right now in my career, it may save me from getting fired.
sighhhhhhhh. i need to print this out and hang it on every wall around the house. i have around 15 blog post "drafts" that got basically finished and then i decided they weren't good enough and that i wanted to "do a final pass" before posting them. obviously said final pass never happened, and the drafts just sit around for years.
it's annoying, it feels like i've learned this lesson five times already, but it seems to not be transferable across domains? i make music, and after not "shipping" any songs for a year and a half, i grit my teeth and started finishing and posting things even if i thought they weren't excellent. and i mostly managed to do the same thing with software, and emails, and other random things. but for blog posts i still struggle a lot.
