It's impressive how vibrant of a community 9front has. I remember looking into Plan 9 when I was a Unix maximalist - even used plan9port as my userland for a while - but it seemed dead at the time.

My computer has been on the fritz lately, maybe I should just go ahead and run 9front on it for a little while instead of proceeding directly to reinstall linux.

i'm particularly fond of rodri's refined affine transformation api. graphics programs in plan 9 are composed of a fairly small set of compositing operations, and anything complicated you have to do by uploading bitmaps to the graphics driver. this can be really slow over the network. with the addition of affinewarp() you can perform any affine transformation (most usefully scaling) by sending a short command to the driver. you can kinda play doom in fullscreen over the network now :)

Are the posters available in a resolution that would actually look good printed? Like around A4
