Having run Pis of various kinds for ages for all sorts of servery jobs in spite of all the gatekeepery people who say you don't, can't and shouldn't, I find them just like any other bit of computer hardware: take care of them, and they'll run fine.

I run a Raspberry Pi as a file server for tons of NetBSD pkgsrc binary packages. I run another as an email server that handles a number of Mailman mailing lists. They're perfectly fine as little servers.
