I recently started learning IncusOS and it's been overall really enjoyable. The community is very welcoming I recently made a list of incus related resources while I was learning about it: https://tangled.org/metasyn.pw/awesome-incus
In particular I've really enjoyed using incus-compose, which has some really cool QOL features like preseeding files for bind mounts and also a lot of compatibility with docker compose when running random off the shelf software. Each gets its own incus project (namespace sorta) so they're easy to clean up or restart from.
I like how this author mentions everything is over engineered but it's also just fun to learn about. Overall inspiring
What do you use IncusOS for? As a... non-cloud person, the documentation reads like jabberwalky, but I like things named "OS"
each as a separate incus compose stack:
so in short, organizing, downloading, sharing, streaming and backing up music 🎶
mostly just been learning but hoping to eventually replace one of my cloud VPS with the stuff locally, hoping to learn how incus clusters work next but need to get a third little NUC haha
I've been using Incus for a while now, and when I saw the Incus OS announcement it was interesting, but I never got a chance to play with it yet. I'm glad you did, and wrote about it. Seems like it's worth playing with for sure.
