Friendly tip for announcements like these: I think for major releases of a project where you're posting to sites like this it helps to provide a few sentences of context (on the page itself). Even leading with the fact that it is a font would be good :)
Depending on how busy I am sometimes I'll click around & figure out what a project is about, but I (and I imagine many others) often see a release notes page like this & just close the tab.
i had a summary but it was removed in accordance with rule that post shouldn't summarise article. i posted the v1 font a few weeks ago and it gained some positive feedback, so i thought it would be familiar.
I think he meant it would have been good to have a prelude to the release announcement that you linked to about what the project is.
Myna is a monospace font for symbol-heavy programming languages which now features APL charset too!
The "faux-italic" variants can just be called "oblique" and it'll make a small number of people happy (as well as being correct!)
fair point. can you please make an issue on the repo for this highlighting what needs to be changed? is it just the name or the metadata too?
Issue created. Don't know enough about the metadata to judge but did link a page that covers it which hopefully helps.
