1,447 emoji? We'll do it live

A new emoji font for Linux would be nice! It seems that most distros have settled on Noto Emoji, which is fine, but they are the same as on Android and for better or worse Emoji do end up giving some identity to the platform. Having these match the GNOME style is really nice and I like what I see so far, definitely better than the other old free emoji fonts which tended to be a bit… odd, to say the least.

I wish you luck with this!

FYI, if you're going to check out the VODs - it seems like he didn't start talking until chat became active, so you might want to skip forwards. For anyone curious, he seems to be using Figma to design the emoji.
