I’m a big fan of the Chaos Model as well. The main rule is always resolve the most important issue first. What’s important? You set the rules there, for me it’s always users’ needs. I drop everything and solve those first. Then it’s whatever bothers me most in the UI/UX, then infrastructure, perf, code quality. For being a solo dev this model has been really successful at the launch/late stages of a project, as it will increase the (apparent) quality of the project really fast. Highly recommended, even for a small group of senior engineers this should work miracles. Skip long meetings and scheduling and let them tackle whatever important they think needs addressing.
