Interesting. I am a bit confused about the motivation for covering architectures that already have existing projects (icestorm, trellis). Is it just a desire to have all of them in the same format? Or something more?
(I guess the readme and book could use a short little section about that)
Yes, deduplicating information in a FPGA database, homogenizing arch representation across families to reduce arch-specific code in PNR software, and also targeting new FPGA families.
