What are you doing this weekend?

Feel free to tell what you plan on doing this weekend and even ask for help or feedback.
Please keep in mind it’s more than OK to do nothing at all too!
Preparing my move from Berlin to Bilbao, excited for spain
Heading to Scotland (just, in the borders) for a Zed Roadster weekend. Some driving, some socialising, some food. Looking forward to it and getting back to driving somewhere that isn't the Midlands.
Probably work one day and go to some coffee brewing event downtown. Might go to the jazz bar one night.
Trying to understand difference between social and cultural capital—and if there’s a need for the term religious or spiritual capital…
My freshrss DB just disappeared somehow in the shift from SQLite to Postgressql. Don’t know what happened there. Will try to fix that I guess.
Visiting Hamburg with my partner. I'm sitting on the train right now.
Learning more about GPU compute.
I am currently messing around with Vulkano on my ancient Vega 64. I am happy to say that iterating over GLSL shaders with feedback from Radeon GPU Profiler feels like a Zachtronics game.
I've even had to switch to an older version of the profiler because the newer ones dropped support for my GPU. It took a while to figure out since they fail with an obscure "no events" message instead of telling my my device is no longer supported.
Anyway, I never realized how slow the RAM is on the desktop class devices. I mean I "knew" it. I've read the paper. But I've always assumed it cannot be that bad. Especially after experiencing squeezing every last bit of performance from RP2040 with it's 2-cycle SRAM, where it actually made sense to use lookup tables to save time. I am seeing 25% of time going towards just loading the constants. Crazy.
Anyway, I am looking forward to experimenting with more persistent kernels and pulling the work from a queue. I am certain that's going to be its own can of worms, but I just have to try.
So, yeah. This weekend I am likely trying to draw a tiny 32³ voxel grid in 4K under 400μs. I am starting at 570μs, so wish me luck. :-D
(Also, I know there are faster methods like SDFs, I will likely get to those eventually.)
Kinda starting a research project about “wayland, but object capability model”
I'm continuing to chip away on my side-project: Cryptick.
I love cryptic crosswords and I wanted to make a free and open-source alternative to things like Minute Cryptic, without requiring accounts or payment.
It has an RSS feed of daily cryptic clues, and all the clue data is stored in the URL fragment; no backend, all client side!
Buying plane tickets to attend BugBash '26 hosted by Antithesis in a couple weeks time. Very excited! First time in Washington DC, I won't have much time for visiting tho.
Finish moving to our new place.
Continue implementing my Unison/Elm inspired language on top of Common Lisp. SBCL is a superpower. I now have a content addressable store, a bidirectional type system with unification and a nice development loop. Next is going to be the deterministic simulation testing harness for users of the language and then the compilation to Quint/TLA+ as a compilation target, which should be interesting.
Reading more of Neural Networks and Deep Learning, to learn about how to build the AI for my Slay the Spire clone. I've got enough cards and relics implemented that I think I can start on making it choose paths through the map.
Yardwork (ugh) and gardening (yay).
Playing in my pinball league.
Plenty of walks, now that it's warm outside.
